The sandbags are placed across the hands, wrists, or forearms to provide gentle compressive weight during upper body work. They encourage correct alignment of the wrist and elbow joints, develop hand and forearm strength, and are particularly beneficial for those working through conditions such as arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, or repetitive strain.
